The therapy is available in-home for pets in most of Charlotte, NC and York County, SC.

The services are led by Dr. G, a veterinarian with over 21 years of veterinary experience, including delivering in-home pet euthanasia for over 11 years.

After scheduling, you’ll be contacted within 1-6 hours to confirm. On the appointment day, the pet should ideally have the treatment area shaved if there’s long hair (Dr. G will shave that area If needed), and ultrasound gel will be used.

The actual treatment lasts less than 5 minutes. Sound waves are transmitted via a device through gel into the injured area. It is not painful but causes an unfamiliar sensation. The device produces an audible (rhythmic clicking), though even skittish dogs and cats don’t appear concerned.

Pets may feel pain relief immediately. After treatment there should be reduced exercise, no long hikes, and limit exercise to very short walks for about 2-3 days. Some soreness for 1-3 days is possible. Long-lasting results are usually seen after a second or third treatment.

Many times, two to three treatments may be curative. If symptoms recur, one treatment every 6-12 months may suffice.

Yes. The therapy is especially beneficial for pets that are poor candidates for anesthesia or surgery, such as those with lung or heart disease.

Treatment can focus on many areas, including shoulders, elbows, femur, stifle, spine (non-neurological), paws/digits, etc. There is a fee of $425 per treatment location. Typically, only two areas are treated with each visit.

To schedule, you provide pet owner info (name, address, phone), pet info (name, type, breed, age, weight, sex), when you want the treatment, what you want addressed (arthritis, wound, etc.), where the pain is, who diagnosed the issue, and medical forms or X-rays.
